| Welcome to the February 2014 newsletter which looks back at auction activity in January and preceding periods. As always, the auction market was very quiet during January and this is reflected in the figures, as only 541 lots were offered across 19 auctions nationwide. This was a marginal increase on January 2013 (509 lots offered), whilst total revenues dropped by the negligible amount of £650,000 - 1.9%. |
National Auction Analysis
| There were slight increases in auction sales in January for both the residential and commercial markets (up 4% and 18.5% respectively), although it is not advisable to draw any meaningful conclusions with such a small sample set of auction data. |
